Our Goal

We aim to expand access to robotics. We believe that hands-on experience is key to cultivating excitement in robotics and STEM. This robotic kit, at only $250, is a great educational platform for students ranging from high school to college level.

Robot Kit

At under $300, the kit includes a 5-DoF arm with accurate servos and realtime position feedback, and a 1MP camera to locate objects in the workspace.

Simulator

The robot kit can be simulated on Windows, Mac and Linux, allowing for virtual teaching experiences at no cost.

News

[July 2022] Students from Young Scholars program join the Helping Hands Lab. They will be developing a robot AI to play ConnectFour.
[June 2022] Official documentation page is released to provide overview of the NURO.Arm API. The API is now listed in PyPI to allow for a simple installation.
[January 2022] "CS4910: Deep Learning for Robotics" begins, covering reinforcement and supervised learning algorithms applied to manipulation problems using the NURO.Arm platform.
[May 2021] NURO.Arm partners with Northeastern University's Center of STEM Education to launch a six-week robotics outreach program for local high school students.
